Vote To Live’s 2026 Rides To Vote Program
The Vote To Live Foundation is excited to revive our highly successful “Rides To Vote” program for the 2026 election. Building on the momentum from our 2020 initiatives where we’ve provided over 120,000 rides over the past six years, this program is designed to empower voters by ensuring they have safe, reliable transportation to cast their ballots.
Research has consistently shown when voters do not have access to a car, they vote at lower rates. A recent study found that 29% of eligible voters who did not vote cited lack of transportation as a barrier.
Our program offers $25 – $30 rideshare vouchers, geofenced to ensure usage for trips to and from early voting polling locations during election season in targeted locations. This initiative directly addresses the transportation barriers that disproportionately affect Black voters, particularly in densely populated and underserved areas. By removing this obstacle, we are not only facilitating higher voter turnout but also reinforcing the importance of civic engagement in the Black community.
